Willis appoints president, CEO of Japan retail brokerage business

Willis Group has appointed Yoshihide Enomoto as president and CEO of its Japan retail brokerage business.

Based in Willis' Tokyo office, Enomoto joins the firm from Aon where he was chairman of Aon Japan and managing director of Aon Global Japan, after running Aon's Japan Group in Chicago.

Enomoto also held Japanese business of broker Alexander & Alexander USA, working in both Chicago and Los Angeles and also served CIGNA Insurance Japan.

Willis Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa chairman & CEO Roger Wilkinson said that Enomoto's international experience and his knowledge of the local marketplace will enable him to lead the company push for growth in Japan, where it is investing significantly in its people and presence.

In addition to Enomoto's appointment, the company has hired Shinichiro Sekine to lead the Japan office and to expand the business in the Kansai region including Osaka, and nearby Kobe and Kyoto.

The former Willis Japan Retail CEO Takeshi Kai has been named as director and deputy CEO of firm' Japanese reinsurance operation.

Kai will now work closely with Willis Re Japan CEO, James Beedle.
