JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assessing, developing and implementing professional development and sales training programs to improve sales force productivity and effectiveness within the various sales channels while supporting business objectives and goals. Subject matter expert for enhancing, leading and facilitating sales training to both internal and external sales associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:


  • Design and facilitate training programs to increase wholesaler productivity by enhancing their sales techniques, communications skills, territory management skills and product knowledge
  • Develop, maintain and/or procure training manuals, tests and aids, ensure that learning solutions are made available and delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Acts as program manager, responsible for content edits, online enrollment creation, invites, save the dates and tracking of wait lists and attendance
  • Monitor effectiveness, accuracy, compliance and suitability of all development programs and training techniques using course evaluation data,testing, feedback from subject matter experts and compliance
  • Establish and promote an effective adult learning environment, demonstrating confident and engaging presentation skills and classroom management techniques leading to desired training outcomes
  • Coordinate and facilitate training with vendors and other internal and external business partners
  • Review company, line of business and industry related topics to stay current on areas, including but not limited to: company procedures, product changes, campaigns, competitors and industry related information
Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED :


  • Prioritization skills and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with employees and various levels of management staff and/or outside contacts
  • Excellent presentation and proficient facilitation skills
  • Possess knowledge of and experience in training theories as they relate to skills building, adult learning, and transfer of knowledge
  • Effective listening skills to ensure understanding of instructions and directions and to effectively communicate with others
  • Ability to manage diverse relationships
  • Must show initiative in creating goals for self development
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time on a daily basis

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience and other education. Insurance, Annuity or Financial Services industry and sales experience a plus
  • A minimum of two years of proven sales training success in a corporate environment
  • Familiarity in the use of personal computers and various software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint; Microsoft Project; Microsoft Explorer/Internet) and audio/visual equipment required
  • Experience with rapid e-learning tools (i.e. Articulate, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems preferred
  • Some travel may be required to attend work related meetings and training sessions (app. 20%)
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule that provides needed coverage for time sensitive projects
  • Series 6, 63 and appropriate State Life Insurance License required within 6 months of accepting the position
